We design every piece with the format and the audience in mind, then prepare files for clean reproduction at the printer. If you want the printing handled too, we run it in-house and ship across Australia and New Zealand.

What We Design Across Marketing Collateral
Different formats do different jobs. A flyer needs to land one message fast. A brochure needs to walk a reader through a few sections in a logical order. A booklet or catalogue needs to organise information so customers can scan, compare and decide. A poster needs to read from across the room.
Digital Layout designs flyers in DL, A6, A5, A4 and custom sizes, single, double and tri-fold brochures, saddle-stitched booklets, capability statements, product catalogues, restaurant and takeaway menus, postcards, event invitations and event posters. Each layout is structured around a clear hierarchy: a strong headline, a single dominant offer, scannable supporting information, and an obvious call to action.
For booklets specifically, we work to the right page count for the binding method, including stitched, perfect-bound and stapled. For real estate, hospitality and retail clients, we keep templates organised so future seasonal updates can be turned around quickly without rebuilding the file from scratch.
Why Melbourne Businesses Choose Digital Layout for Print Design
-
Designed for the format. Layouts are built around how the piece will be folded, scanned and used, not just how it looks on a desktop preview.
-
Print-ready from day one. Files are supplied with 3mm bleed, CMYK colour, outlined fonts and the correct trim size for the chosen format.
-
Detail checks built in. Spelling, contact information, opening hours, ABN, social handles and QR codes are checked before any file leaves the studio.
-
Print handled in-house if you want it. Design and printing through the same team means no version mix-ups and no colour shifts between artwork and finished product.
-
Templates kept on file. Future seasonal updates, new menu items, refreshed pricing or revised stock lists do not mean rebuilding from scratch.
How a Print Collateral Project Runs
Most print collateral projects move through three stages, scaled to size and urgency.
Step 1: Brief and structure. We confirm format, page count, fold style, audience and the specific action you want the piece to drive. For multi-page items we agree on a section structure before any layout begins.
Step 2: Design and review. Initial layouts are produced for your review, with two rounds of revisions included. We supply page-by-page proofs for booklets and catalogues so changes are clear.
Step 3: Pre-flight and handover. Final files are checked for resolution, bleed, colour profile and outlined fonts. You receive a press-ready PDF and, if we are printing, a finished proof before the run starts.
Why Choose Digital Layout for Marketing Collateral Design
Print collateral works hardest when the design respects how the customer will actually use it. A trifold brochure handed out at an open home is read differently to a catalogue left on a counter. A menu under a restaurant light needs more contrast than the same menu on a screen. We design with those use cases in mind, not just the visual.
Because we also handle printing, signage, packaging, branding and digital, your flyers, brochures and booklets can stay visually connected to the rest of your marketing without coordinating across multiple suppliers. Source files stay organised so future updates take days, not weeks.
